Bethesda has officially announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be making its way to PlayStation 5 on April 17, 2025. The announcement came in the form of an exciting promotional video, which features voice actors Troy Baker and Nolan North, two well-known figures in the world of action-adventure video games. Baker, who plays Indiana Jones in the game, joins North, who famously voiced Nathan Drake in Uncharted, the series heavily inspired by Indiana Jones' own cinematic adventures. The video is not just a teaser, but a celebration of these iconic adventurers coming together, with the pair reflecting on their long-time collaboration.
Game Available for Pre-Order on PS5
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is available for pre-order now, with fans able to choose from three editions. The Standard Edition will include the base game, while players seeking additional content can opt for the Premium Edition or the Collector's Edition.
The Premium Edition comes with two days of early access, starting April 15, which will allow players to begin their adventure before the official launch date. This edition also includes the Order of Giants story DLC, a Temple of Doom outfit for Indy, a digital art book, and a standard pre-order bonus – the Last Crusade pack, which gives players access to special items inspired by the classic film.
For the ultimate Indiana Jones fan, the Collector's Edition is the ultimate bundle. It includes all the benefits of the Premium Edition, along with an impressive 11-inch Great Circle globe with a plane magnet, an adventure journal, a replica of the Allmaker relic, and a jumbo SteelBook display case to keep the game’s physical disc. The Collector’s Edition offers a true collector's experience, blending high-quality memorabilia with in-game perks.
A First-Person Adventure with Original Story
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle brings players into an original story set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The game follows a first-person perspective, immersing players in the life of Indy as they travel the world in search of an ancient power. As Jones, players will use the iconic whip and explore various dangerous and mysterious locations across the globe, racing against rival groups who also seek to unlock the power behind the Great Circle. This expansive treasure hunt will have players journeying through diverse sites that form a perfect circle on a map.
The game features a thrilling blend of puzzle-solving, exploration, and action, drawing heavily from the Indiana Jones films and the Uncharted series, which has long been inspired by the legendary adventurer. The developers at MachineGames have ensured that this game delivers the same level of excitement and thrill that fans have come to expect from both franchises.
A Connection with the Uncharted Legacy
The connection between Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and PlayStation’s Uncharted series is clear, with the promotional video itself featuring North, the voice of Nathan Drake, welcoming Troy Baker into the “club.” North and Baker’s shared history extends back to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, where Baker portrayed Sam Drake, Nathan’s brother. This connection makes for an exciting crossover, as both characters are central to a globe-trotting adventure full of danger and intrigue.
Both Uncharted and Indiana Jones share similar themes of treasure hunting, ancient artifacts, and thrilling action sequences, so the collaboration between these two gaming giants feels like a natural fit. With the voice talents of Baker and North, fans can expect a seamless continuation of the action-adventure genre, blending both humor and high-stakes excitement.
